How to Register Easy Ways to Register For your convenience, we offer the following registration methods. Please keep in mind that registration is accepted on a first come, first serve basis. If a program is filled, you will be placed on a waiting list and notified by phone of an opening. Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover accepted. We do not accept cash at this time. 1. Online Registration Visit www.gainesville.org/online-registration Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover accepted. 2. In Person Visit our offices located in the Gainesville Civic Center, 830 Green Street, NE or Frances Meadows Center, 1545 Community Way, Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Children under the age of 18 Please be aware that a copy of his/her birth certificate must accompany the registration form when registering your child for an athletic program or summer day camp. A parent or legal guardian signature is required for all programs. City Resident Discount The cost of supplying the programs and services of Gainesville Parks and Recreation are paid for primarily with city tax dollars. Therefore, persons residing within the city limits of Gainesville on property taxed by the city will receive a discount on programs offered by Gainesville Parks and Recreation. The amount of the discount can be found in each class description. Late Fee A fee of $15 will be applied to all late registrations and only if space is available. Other discounts will not be offered. Financial Assistance Through the Children At Play Fund, financial assistance is available to city residents (12th grade or younger who are enrolled in school or home schooled). Certain restrictions apply. Call 770.531.2680 for further details. Cancellations/Changes Class cancellations due to inclement weath- er can be heard on our weather hot line at 770. 297.5453. If your class is cancelled or changed because it has not met its minimum requirement, you will be notified prior to the beginning of the program. You may choose to apply your fee to another program or you will receive a full refund. Credit card payments will be credited and checks will be issued in a timely manner for cash and check payments. Activity Refund Policy A 100% refund will be given for activities cancelled by Gainesville Parks and Recreation. Refund requests made prior to the start of the program will be granted without explanation. If participant requests a refund, a $5 service charge will be applied. Satisfaction Guarantee If for any reason you are not satisfied with a Gainesville Parks and Recreation activity, we will refund your money in full (or give you a credit toward a future activity) if you make your request before the second meeting of the activity. Facility Rental Information The Gainesville Civic Center, Martha Hope Cabin, and Fair Street Neighborhood Center offer meeting space for weddings, receptions, luncheons, dinners, training seminars and other business or personal needs. Park Pavilion Rentals You may be interested to know that many area parks have pavilions that may be rented for family gatherings, birthday parties and company picnics. For a list of these parks, refer to the inside back cover or www. gainesville.org/recreation. Park pavilions are a popular choice for events from March - October, so please make your reservations by calling 770.531.2680.
